Why a photo booth?

A photo booth is a fun and interactive way to capture memories at events. It typically includes a camera, backdrop, and props. Photo booths can be used for a variety of events, including weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and more. They offer guests a chance to take creative photos and create lasting memories.

 

What is the difference between photo booths and DSLR booths?

Most photo booths use an iPad with an 8MP camera and M1 or M2 processor. The quality is good but not great. A DSLR booth uses a studio-grade camera, a studio lens, and professional lighting and flash. This makes a huge difference in photo quality.

 

Why should I choose Happy Snaps Photo Booths vs my DJ who can do it cheaper?

Yes, you can get a photo booth cheaper—but not all photo booths are the same. Our iPads are brand new (March 2025) and we use state-of-the-art software. Software is critical to running a smooth booth and allowing features like sending photos via text, email, or AirDrop. We pay $2,500/year for premium software to make sure your event is seamless and memorable.

 

I have a wedding coming up. Why should I choose you over other companies?

Quality, creativity, and experience! Your wedding is one of the most special days in your life. We know how to make it unforgettable. Our Perfect Wedding Package includes: DSLR camera booth with studio lighting and flash, a digital guestbook (video messages from your guests), a roamer (staff member capturing candid moments), a high-def photo printer, premium backdrop, high-quality props (no cheap paper props), a large TV displaying live photo rotation, a personalized welcome screen, instant text/email/AirDrop sharing, and complete setup and breakdown. The full setup takes about 2.5 hours, with another 1.5 hours for breakdown—included in our pricing.

 

What kind of prints do you offer?

Our state-of-the-art printer delivers fast, high-definition prints. Choose between 2x6 or 4x6 formats, in color or black & white. Everything is easy to navigate, and our attendant is there to help.

 

Can I get all the photos after the event?

Sure thing! After every event, you’ll receive a link with all the photos so you and your guests can download and share them for free.

 

What type of event is best to invest in a photo booth?

We’ve serviced weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, holiday parties, birthdays, corporate events, formal galas, graduations, and quinceañeras. Basically, any event where people gather to have fun and want lasting memories.

 

How much space do your booths require?

Our booths generally need a 10’x10’ space, but we’ve made smaller setups work—including in a laundry room. If you have space concerns, just let us know—we’ll make it work.

 

Do you service my area?

We currently serve Sacramento and surrounding areas but can travel throughout Northern California.

 

Is there a travel fee?

We travel up to 20 miles from Sacramento for free. After that, it's $2 per mile. Contact us for a custom quote.

 

Is the setup included in the price?

Of course! Setup for the basic booth takes about 30 minutes, and up to 2.5 hours for our full package. Our staff arrives 45 minutes to 3 hours early to ensure everything runs smoothly.

 

What is the difference between a GIF and a Boomerang?

GIFs are made from 3–4 still images with short pauses between each shot, creating a simple loop. Boomerangs are rapid-fire bursts of 16–20 photos over 3–4 seconds, creating a short video that plays forward and backward. Both are fun, and both are included in our packages upon request.

 

Do you offer special pricing for non-profits and schools?

Yes, we do! A third of our business comes from non-profits and schools. Contact us for custom pricing—we’d love to help.

 

Do you have insurance?

You bet! We carry a $1,000,000 insurance policy to make sure everyone is protected.
